STUNNING Melika Kaffash hopes to clinch two beauty crowns in a matter of months.
The 22-year-old is in the running to be named North East UberGirl and the Face of Newcastle 2011.
And she hopes scooping the two-fold titles will be a springboard to modelling fame.
Glamorous Melika, who was born in Iran but grew up in Ashbrooke, Sunderland, said: “I’m hoping it could be a big opportunity for me and I am really excited about it. I would love to be a professional model and to run my own modelling agency in the future.
“It’d be great to be an inspiration to other young girls in the North - especially those who have moved to this country from abroad and might not have much self-confidence.”
The first contest takes place on August 27, in Newcastle’s TigerTiger nightclub.
Unlike many beauty pageants where contestants wear evening ball gowns, the UberGirl contest sees finalists wearing high street labels, designed to reflect the clothing that the everyday girl wears.
The winner, along with five runners-up, will be selected by an independent panel of judges to represent the North East at the England UberGirl final. Melika will take to the catwalk again in October, to compete in Faces of Newcastle.
