Parking vigilante threatens parked cars

A VIGILANTE resident living near a busy North hospital is intimidating motorists by leaving snide messages threatening to vandalise their cars.

People leaving vehicles in streets surrounding North Tyneside General Hospital have been warned their cars will be “keyed” if they continue.

Patients and visitors to the hospital have been leaving their cars and walking into the medical facility rather than pay 80p an hour to park in one of the five available car parks.

And now it seems a mystery resident is taking matters into their own hands . . . by posting cards that threaten criminal damage to vehicle windscreens.

People living in the street have complained to both Northumbria Police and North Tyneside Council that hospital visitors park on yellow lines, grassed verges and even block driveways.

The vigilante has started putting foul-mouthed business cards under the windscreens of cars which state: “Hey. You Suck At Parking. Learn to park a**hole. If I see you do this again I will key your s**t.”

The card was left on the car of one reader who didn’t want to be named. He said: “I was visiting the hospital and I was parking there to save money but I wasn’t on any yellow lines. I was parked legally and certainly wasn’t causing an obstruction.
