Little Minx singer Perrie Edwards not dating says mum

MY daughter’s no Little Minx!

That’s the message from X Factor singing siren Perrie Edwards’ mum, who has laughed off suggestions her daughter is dating One Direction singer Zayn Malik.

It has been reported that the Little Mix singer, from South Shields, hooked up with the boy band heart-throb following a steamy encounter last month – but that the two are desperate to keep it quiet until the competition is over.

The pair were also said to be cuddling up filming a video for the show’s charity single last weekend.

But Perrie’s mum, Debbie, rubbished the rumours, saying her daughter has known all the One Direction lads for a long time – and her hectic X Factor schedule doesn’t leave her any time for herself, let alone to start a hot new romance!

“She’s not dating Zayn! What a load of rubbish. They’ve probably been seen talking but that’s it,” said Debbie.

“Jade knows all the boys from when she was at boot camp with them last year so they are good friends, so now we know all of them and their mums too.

“Zayn’s a lovely guy, mind, so if she did want to start seeing him she’d have my blessing!

“I told her that people were saying she was with Zayn and that she’d apparently been canoodling backstage with him, and she just said ‘oh give me a break!’ because she never has time.

“It’s all voice coaching, choreography, photo shoots, interviews and appearances – when would she have time for anything else?

“I wonder who they’ll say she’s going out with next? I told her they’ll say she’s dating Johnny Depp, the little minx!”

Perrie told a magazine last week that she had a boyfriend but they split before the competition, saying it was “the right thing to do”, so that she could concentrate on her emerging career.
