AMELIA Lily is already a winner in her mum’s eyes, and she’s helping her mum enjoy a slice of celebrity too.
Mum Aranka joked how she’d ordered her daughter to get through to this weekend’s semi-final, because it meant the devoted mum gets her own prize – she and all the other semi-finalists’ mums have been spoiled rotten with a VIP pamper weekend in London, complete with a fashion makeover and beauty treatments.
“I’m going to sleep bolt upright all night to make sure my hair stays in place,” she said.
“They are really spoiling us.
“I told Amelia ‘you’d better get through to the semis so I get to have my makeover’ and she did which was just brilliant – and her name being read out as the first one through was the best we could have wished for.
“Now all of us mums have been brought to London for a makeover. We’re having all our hair and make-up done, and getting new outfits, at M&S at Marble Arch.
“Then I’m being taken across London to see Amelia, which is what I’m most looking forward to.
“They’re putting us all up in hotels too which is nice – I’m in the same hotel as Little Mix mums Norma Thirwall and Debbie Edwards who are just lovely.
“Her dad Barry’s a bit put out – he wants to know what the dads get!”
The makeover isn’t the only taste of showbiz Aranka has been enjoying.
Last week Aranka got to star in a mini-movie about her daughter’s life, with help from Sam Faiers from The Only Way Is Essex fame, and with every step towards the final comes more radio, TV and media interviews.
“The life of a celebrity mum eh? It’s all worth it if it helps Amelia though.”
Amelia Lily and the remaining contestants – Marcus Collins, Little Mix and Misha B – have been rattling around inside the cavernous X Factor house, so were last week moved into a hotel.
