Big Brother stars Louise Cliffe and Jay McKray get engaged

HE hinted marriage might be on the cards ... and now Big Brother’s Jay McKray has gone and popped the question to the girlfriend he met on the show.

As first revealed in the Sunday Sun, the 27-year-old said he planned to pop the question to his former TV housemate and model Louise Cliffe, just weeks after meeting her.

And he has stayed true to his word ... with his mum Susan Harding this week revealing how Jay proposed on a visit to Louise’s home city of Manchester on a big wheel.

Announcing the news to fans on her Facebook page, Susan, from Ouston, Chester-le-Street, County Durham, said: “It’s official, Jay and Louise are engaged!!

“Jay proposed on the Manchester Eye and had bought a ring in secret the day before. He’d escaped into town with Louise’s friend to buy the ring and organise the wheel.

“They’re amazingly happy and it’s lovely to see. I couldn’t be happier. As a mam it’s always hard to hand over your son but I can honestly say he couldn’t have met a nicer girl and I love her to bits!!

“I’ve met Louise’s mum and dad, sister Michelle, and brother Colin, and they are all lovely people. We all just want them to be happy.
