Big Brother's Jay McKray can't wait for the big day

BIG Brother’s Jay McKray has told of his joy at finding his bride-to-be on the show.

The 27-year-old, from Whickham, Gateshead, popped the question to girlfriend Louise Cliffe after the pair fell in love in front of TV audiences.

The Sunday Sun was first to reveal how Jay planned to propose to Louise just weeks after meeting her.

And now the star has said he wants to give his Manchester-born fiancee the glamorous wedding of her dreams.

“I asked Louise to marry me in Manchester on the wheel in a VIP booth,” said Jay, who was a runner-up in this year’s show.

“I asked her dad and her brothers first because her family are really close, then I chose the ring.

“There were loads in the window, but this one just stood out. She said ‘yes’ straight away. We went to a nice restaurant to celebrate on the night. It was canny posh.

“We haven’t set a date yet, but it will be some time next year.

“We don’t know if we want a winter or a summer wedding. We might even go away to somewhere like Switzerland or the Bahamas.”

And future wife Louise, who has starred in two films and done spreads for FHM, Zoo and Nuts, is already feeling at home in her fiance’s native North East.

“Louise loves it up here,” said Jay. “I took her out with all my mates and she thought it was great.

“We can’t really go out in Newcastle because we get recognised all the time, so we just stayed around my local where everyone already knows me.”
