Singer Charlotte Church's former boyfriend Kyle Johnson has been arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.
Scotland Yard said the 24-year-old was held after attending an East London police station by appointment on Tuesday.
He has been on the run since January after police found high-grade heroin worth £10 million at a house in Forest Gate, east London.
Police discovered the massive drug haul during a search of a terrace house in Meath Road last December.
They had been tipped off that the sparsely-decorated three-bedroom property was being used as a safe house for class A drugs.
Inside the address, officers found four brown cardboard boxes stacked on top of a single bed in one of the side bedrooms. Each of the boxes contained up to 160 envelopes stuffed with a quantity of heroin ready for sale on the street.
It was estimated that more than 150 kilos of high-grade heroin was seized, with an estimated street value of £10 million.
Investigators released a picture of Johnson on January 25 and appealed for information about his whereabouts.
Johnson, of Stratford, east London, was described as having links in Cardiff, where he was born. He enjoyed an 18-month relationship with Church, who sprang to fame as a child singer.
She is now settled with Welsh rugby star Gavin Henson, with whom she has had two children.
