Craik should pay back his £47,000 bonus

HOW nice of Northumbria Chief Constable Mike Craik to say the police bonus system should be scrapped, particularly, as you reported, he shared £47,000 as part of the scheme he wants abolished.
If my maths is right, that works out at about two new bobbies on the beat.
So, instead of just speaking out against the scheme, why doesn’t he pay the money back so that it can be put to better use? — ALAN THOMPSON, Bedlington, Northumberland.
