Josh Walker determined to show what he can do

JOSH WALKER is determined to revive his Middlesbrough career with an impressive loan spell at Northampton Town.

The 20-year-old remains highly-rated at the Riverside, having graduated through the Academy ranks via temporary periods at Bournemouth and Aberdeen.

He broke into the first-team last season with a bright future predicted, only for injury to curtail his development.

Walker has yet to make an appearance for Boro in the current campaign, despite injuries to Didier Digard, Gary O’Neil, Julio Arca and Matthew Bates.

And he fell further down the midfield pecking order when Gordon Strachan swooped for Aston Villa loan star Isaiah Osbourne.

Last week he joined the Cobblers until January, on the recommendation of Malcolm Crosby – sacked by the Teessiders in the summer and appointed assistant boss at Sixfields in September.
