MIDDLESBROUGH star Lee Miller is NOT interested in a move to Rangers – and the Scot is determined to prove himself at the Riverside.
The 27-year-old joined the Teessiders in a £500,000 move from Aberdeen in January, signing a three-year contract.
Struggling to achieve full fitness, he failed to score in 10 appearances, six of them starts.
Yet Miller was recently linked with a move back to the SPL, with reported long-term admirers Rangers on the lookout for a replacement for Boro and Newcastle United target Kris Boyd.
Miller admitted to being flattered by the Ibrox club’s interest, but the three-times capped Scottish international seems unlikely to move.
Rangers owner Sir David Murray took the club off the market last week, after failing to attract a buyer, and new investment is far from certain.
While a source close to Miller insists the striker is happy on Teesside, and determined to be a success.
“Lee has seen the rumours about Rangers, he’s had them throughout his career,” the source said.
“But he’s very happy at Middlesbrough and he’s determined to succeed. Gordon Strachan was concerned about his fitness when he first arrived from Aberdeen.
