Steve Gibson is still backing Gordon Strachan

STEVE GIBSON is more passionate and determined than ever to restore Middlesbrough to the Premier League.

While Gordon Strachan IS the man to lead them there. The Teessiders spent £6 million in the summer and were bookies’ favourites to go up.

But they have had an indifferent start to the Championship season, with a section of fans turning on Strachan during the recent defeat at QPR.

However, results have improved since then and Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara has backed the Boro boss to launch a bid for promotion, thanks to the support of Gibson, below.

“Steve’s more passionate and determined than ever about getting the club back to the top,” said Kamara. “Gordon’s been a very good manager.

“It’s early days of course but once he gets men back fit, then they should push for promotion.”
