Berwick Bandits 40 Ipswich Witches 50

BERWICK Bandits were hit by the Witches curse as they lost at home to Ipswich.

Frenchman Matt Tresarrieu and former Bandit Kevin Doolan gave Ipswich an opening 5-1.

Witches’ guest Ashley Birks took heat two ahead of Jade Mudgway.

Josef Franc and Kozza Smith then hauled Berwick back into the match with a great 5-1, leaving the hosts trailing 10-8.

By the end of the fifth the Witches led 17-13.

Berwick moved into the lead for the first time after heat eight, but the Suffolk outfit soon levelled in the next.

By heat 11 they enjoyed a six-point led and then ran out comfortable winners.
