Sam Allardyce has fiercely denied that he is still under investigation by the Quest inquiry into transfer misdealings.
Newcastle's new manager was questioned by the Quest team last October following allegations made against him by the BBC's Panorama programme.
And reports claimed that, once he took over at United, Allardyce would be interviewed again over deals he did to sign Tal Ben Haim and Blessing Kaku for Bolton in 2004.
An agent involved in those transfers, David Abou, has been newly quizzed by Quest and Football Association officials.
But Allardyce is adamant that he has no questions left to answer.
"I'm totally convinced that Quest is finished as far as I'm concerned," he said.
"I hadn't done anything.
"I wasn't on the Panorama programme: I never appeared on it, I wasn't caught on camera, was never caught making any allegations or doing anything wrong.
"I've done everything Quest have asked, if not more. They've viewed everything they needed to view and had opportunities to see all of my stuff that couldn't be seen by the police without a court order.
"I volunteered all that, they cleared me so that's it."
And Allardyce added: "It (the Quest probe) didn't come into discussions when we were talking over the Newcastle job."
