Wilson keen to add to Pools squad

WITH the transfer window closing for business on Thursday, Pools boss Danny Wilson is no different to the rest of the managers in the Football League.

He is keen to boost his squad for the busy period ahead and is looking at the loan market for options.

One name linked with a move to Victoria Park is Middlesbrough’s young striker Ben Hutchinson.

He has recently made his Premiership debut, scored his first goal for the first team, and actually spent last season on loan at Billingham Synthonia in the Northern League.

A move to Pools – albeit on a temporary basis – would be of further benefit to his career. The striker was part of a Boro squad that took on Glasgow Rangers on Friday, winning 2-0.

Tellingly, Wilson said: “We are hoping to do a bit of business but we will have to wait and see.

“There are certain areas of the team I’m not entirely happy with, the right-back position for example is one we have chopped and changed a few times, and the forward positions as well because we are not converting enough of our chances.”
