Mansfield 4, Darlington 2

QUAKERS conceded three goals in the opening 33 minutes to all but end their hopes of getting anything from this encounter.

Ex-Newcastle striker David Kelly gave Mansfield the lead in the second minute as a makeshift Darlo defence failed to clear.

It was soon two, goalkeeper Finch adjudged to have tripped Simon Corden in the area, and the striker scored the resulting penalty.

Ian Clark made it 2-1 from the spot after Mellanby had been brought down by Mansfield keeper Kevin Pilkington.

Chris Greenacre made it 3-1, Mark Sheeran pulled one back but David Kelly got his second goal to make the final score 4-2.
