Queen’s Park 2 Berwick Rangers 3

BERWICK won for the first time in six outings to get their promotion challenge back on track.

Queen’s Park opened the game brightly and Jack Henry put the Hampden side in front after 11 minutes. Martin McBride’s corner kick was nodded on by Ricky Little and Henry reacted quickest to send a looping header over Mark Peat.

Michael Daly went close to doubling the Spiders’ lead 10 minutes before the break but Peat produced a fine save.

Damon Gray levelled for Berwick on the stroke of half-time when he headed home Jay Shields’ lofted ball.

Gray netted his second to put Berwick in front midway through the second half.

But substitute Ian Watt levelled for the Spiders with a fantastic solo effort after 80 minutes, beating three men on the left wing before firing past Mark Peat.

However, there was still enough time for Berwick sub David Greenhill to net the winner.
