THE semi-finals of the First Division Lou Moore Trophy were played to a conclusion.
Grangetown BC won 3-2 away to Richmond Town and will play Richmond Mavericks, who pulled off a surprise 2-1 victory at Thornaby Dubliners.
Acklam Steelworks lead a tight First Division table by three points, but have played two more games than the two teams below them after drawing 0-0 with fifth-placed Nunthorpe Athletic. Darlington GSRA secured a 2-1 victory at Norton WMC to close the gap on the two teams above them, Stokesley and Fishburn Park, who drew 0-0 in their match.
In the Second Division Burness Plate semi-finals St Mary’s College beat Guisborough Town Reserves 1-0. They will play Grangetown YCC in the final, who beat Great Ayton United 2-1.
The top two in the Second Division both won. Whinney Banks YCC beat Norton & Stockton Reserves 7-0.
Cargo Fleet, who are second, beat bottom club Billingham Town 5-3.
