Cargo Fleet go top, while Gateshead Leam Rangers beaten in thriller

CARGO FLEET take over at the top of division one on goal difference from Richmond Town.

Cargo Fleet beat Darlington GSRA 3-0 and last season’s runners-up Richmond Town beat champions Grangetown BC 2-1.

Thornaby Dubliners move into third, they followed up their 9-0 victory at Darlington GSRA on Wednesday by beating Nunthorpe Athletic 6-2 with James Hacket scoring four goals.

Richmond Mavericks bounced back from their midweek defeat by Richmond Town to beat Great Ayton Utd 3-2 and BEADS claimed their first victory of the season with a 5-0 win at Fishburn Park, Dean Talluker scoring a hat-trick.

Redcar Athletic are the second division leaders after a 4-0 victory over St Mary’s College.

Darlington RFC are second, a point behind, after they beat Redcar Newmarket 5-2.

Guisborough Town bounced back from their midweek defeat by Northallerton Town and won 3-1 against Stockton West End. Grangetown YCC beat Northallerton Town 5-2 with Mark Barker scoring a hat-trick. Billingham Synthonia secured their first victory with a 7-1 victory over Hope Athletic, Earl John-Lewis scoring a hat-trick. Mill Hill, in their first game in the league, drew 4-4 with Billingham Town, Andrew Rowney scoring a hat-trick for Billingham and Yarm secured their fist victory with a 1-0 win at New Marske.
