CARLISLE United continued their good run of recent form, albeit with a frustrating draw against a hard-working Brentford outfit pursuing promotion this season.
Enforced absences through injury and international duty brought Jon-Paul McGovern, Tom Taiwo and Danny Livesey back into the starting line-up – and the replacements stepped up to the plate as the home side played fantastic football.
Both sides started with purpose and McGovern volleyed a Miller flick on just wide of the upright with the fans barely in their seats.
Brentford got into their passing stride quickly and they should have taken the lead with their first real attack of the game when Diagouraga found Woodman in space.
His early cross found Sam Wood unmarked just eight yards from goal, but he disappointingly sent his header straight at Collin.
A flowing move from the Bees carved United wide open when Thompson raced away down the right.
His clipped delivery was nodded down by Douglas and David Clarkson buried it in the back of the net.
Rory Loy tried to take matters into his own hands when Carlisle sent the ball forward from the restart.
He beat one man before going for glory from distance, but it was always curling away.
The Cumbrians were asking questions and Robson stroked a powerful 30-yard free-kick just wide moments before the home side got their deserved equaliser.
Miller did the leg work to recover the ball and he set up Robson to cross deep.
