TERRIERS, who are in the bottom half of the STL Northern League First Division, shocked leaders Sunderland RCA at Dr Pit Welfare Park.
The home side made a perfect start, scoring twice in the opening 21 minutes. Ian Graham left RCA goalkeeper Gary Hoggeth helpless with a wonderful finish from a Mark Convery corner. Two minutes later Craig Hubbard drove low into the net from the edge of the penalty area.
Worse came when the Wearsiders conceded a 51st-minute penalty which was converted by Anthony Shandran.
Within five minutes, however, Andy Jennings threw RCA a lifeline but Bedlington defended their lead and in the last minute Tommy English made certain of his side’s place in tomorrow’s draw.
