South Shields 3 Marske United 4

MARSKE won a seven-goal thriller at Filtrona Park to edge away from the lower regions of the first division.

Shields led 2-0 with goals from Chris Feasey who netted with a diving header and Jonny Wightman who finished off a good move.

Adam Wheatley and Jonathan Burton scored in quick succession to level before a dramatic last few minutes saw three goals in as many minutes.

In the 89th, Karl Charlton tapped home for Marske, then Andrew Barclay poked home the equaliser. Just when a draw seemed the final outcome, Charlton claimed a late winner for the Teesiders.
