West Brom keep tabs on Kieran Richardson

KIERAN RICHARDSON could be on his way to West Brom this summer – if the Baggies win promotion.

Kieran Richardson

The Sunderland midfielder has emerged as one of the key transfer targets for West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo as he looks to plan for the future.

The Baggies are currently second in the Championship and on course to return to the Premier League after being relegated last season.

Former Manchester United man Richardson has struggled with injuries this season and been in and out of the Sunderland side, and boss Steve Bruce is unlikely to stand in his way if he wants to leave.

And if Richardson does move to The Hawthorns - where he spent a loan spell in 2005 while still a Man Utd player - it could increase Sunderland’s chances of landing the Baggies’ Scotland international midfielder Graham Dorrans, who is on Bruce’s wanted list.
