Djibril Cisse: I’ll join Black Cats in summer

Djibril Cisse

DJIBRIL CISSE has pledged to join Sunderland this summer . . . if they want him!

The on-loan Marseille man has hit eight Premier League goals so far for the Wearsiders and his form is bound to have caught the attention of other clubs, here and abroad.

But the ex-Liverpool striker has vowed to show loyalty to Sunderland for giving him a second chance in the Premier League.

“I’m a very faithful person,” said Cisse. “If you help me, I will help you in return.

“Sunderland helped me by giving me the chance to play in the Premiership again and if they want to sign me, I will come.

“For the moment I am here and I will wait and see whether the club wants to make a proposal, but it’s still early days.

“It’s probably not the right time to talk about it with the club at the moment.

“It all depends on my performances. But if I play well and score a lot of goals, then why not?”

France international Cisse is on loan for the rest of the season and an £8.5 million fee has already been agreed between the clubs, if Sunderland want to make the deal permanent.
