Cumbria Floods

THIS footage captured from the Great North Air Ambulance shows the extent of flooding as homes, shops, schools, playing fields lie submerged beneath the waters. Traffic snakes along the M6, through a 'lake' of the flood waters. A spokesperson for the Air Ambulance said: "We were on our way to an emergency call in Silloth when one of our team recorded this footage. It once again shows how versatile our aircraft are. "We have made the emergency services fully aware we available if there is an emergency situation which requires out help."
