    It was a case of second time lucky for Joe McElderry after being crowned X Factor winner. The 18-year-old student from South Shields entered the contest two years ago, making it to the Bootcamp stage but pulled out because he felt he was too young. This time around, with his cute looks, angelic voice and mentoring from judge and fellow Geordie Cheryl Cole, he went all the way with a string of assured performances.
