Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll has appeared in court charged with assault after an incident at a nightclub. The England under-21 footballer is accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against Michael Cook after an alleged altercation in the Blu Bambu club in Newcastle's Bigg Market in December.
