Never a dull moment with Aussie Jim

Hold on to your hats comedy fans - a controversial Aussie is about to invade.

Jim Jeffries has embarked on a tour following his sell-out Edinburgh Festival Fringe show, The Second Coming, from last year.

Not for the faint-hearted, Jim is known for his ability to succeed with jokes most comedians wouldn't touch. He has a knack for charming and offending the crowd in equal measure and for that reason has been earmarked as one of comedy's brightest rising stars.

His new show, 30, has presumably been inspired by the fact that Jim hit the three-decade mark this year... and that's not the only reason it has been eventful. He has narrowly avoided three bomb explosions in Iraq, where he was performing, got punched in the face at Manchester's Comedy Store (a first for the venue), had his car broken into and had a tumour removed from his nether regions.

It's a fair bet much of this will make up part of his set at The Hyena in Newcastle on Tuesday evening.
