Get ready to Cha-Cha. Lady Salsa, the sexiest dance show around, is coming direct from the West End to the North East. LIZ LAMB finds out more.
SALSA the night away with 30 of Cuba’s hottest dancers, musicians and singers and surrender to the unbridled spirit of a hedonistic night in downtown Havana.
From the producer of West End smash hits Fame and Saturday Night Fever and directed by Toby Gough, Lady Salsa is a sizzling celebration of the spirit of Cuba.
It stars dance star veteran Janet Fuentes Torres, who has appeared on The Generation Game and This Morning and was a coach for the BBC’s Strictly Dance Fever.
The dancer has also appeared in music videos for artists including Alicia Keys, Craig David, Abs and Tom Jones.
She has also won three Tropicana World Open Championship titles and has appeared in dance festivals and salsa congresses around the world.
Lady Salsa charts Cuba’s volatile history from dictatorship through to liberation with red-hot Rumba, Mambo, Cha-Cha and sensational salsa.
Gorgeous dancers in glittering, sexy costumes transport you to the streets of Havana and the world of salsa, rum and revolution!
A smash hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2000, it transferred to London’s West End and on to Europe, South East Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
Even Kylie is a fan. The singer said: “You will love Lady Salsa – it’s got everything you need for a wild night out.”
