Santa impersonators are being challenged to take part in an X Factor-style contest to find the best Father Christmas.
The Xmas Factor will be judged by a panel including Chronicle entertainment editor Gordon Barr.
After being assessed for festive cheer and a hearty laugh, the winner gets £250 and is invited to be Santa on Christmas Day for The Village Hotel and Leisure Club, Cobalt Business Park, North Shields. Xmas Factor is at The Village next Thursday 1-4pm. Call 0191 2701414.
