Cuba Gooding JR is turning out to be something of a real life hero after it was revealed today that he helped save a young boy who had been shot.
The star was dining at Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles - a well-known diner in Hollywood - on Memorial Day when according to the New York Daily News he heard four gunshots.
A source tells the paper that the 39-year-old actor, "saw a young kid holding his head and walked towards him. The kid was bleeding from his neck and collapsed.
"Cuba asked the restaurant for towels and then flagged down a cop car.
"He didn't leave until an ambulance arrived to take the young man away to hospital."
As yet there's no direct word from the Oscar-winning star (for Jerry Maguire) on his heroics.
